Why do I need a diet if I already do sports?

Sport activity is a key element for being in good shape, but if you don’t get your diet on the right track, you will have only limited success if any. The main mistake of people on a diet is their starvation. In this case, the organism slows down the process of metabolism and starts to store fats when occasion offers. Yes, it’s paradoxical – in order to lose some weight, you need to eat much and often. The question is how to eat. If you count the quantity of products by sight, the margin of error may reach 30-50%, thus canceling the point of the whole calculation. If you want to make your sport activity as efficient as possible, you need to supply your organism with necessary nutrients constantly. The nutrition must be adequate; the following elements are required per 1kg of body weight: up to 2 grams of protein (for muscles growth), about 1 gram of lean fat (for proper fat metabolism), and carbohydrates (energy and help for delivering other nutrients). If the body lacks nutrients, it starts to destroy the most useful matter in its opinion – muscles (which required so many forces to grow). If there are too many meals or they are irregular, then surpluses will be stored in the form of fats.
